The Potions Classroom is one of the large dungeons in Hogwarts Castle. It is large enough to allow at least twenty students to work and its walls are lined with pickled animals in glass jars. In one corner of the room stands a basin into which ice-cold water pours from a gargoyle’s mouth, while in another is a student supply cupboard. There is also a blackboard on which the Potions Master could write the class’s instructions. The room is especially cold, so students usually huddle close to their cauldrons.
Potions is a core class and subject taught at Hogwarts. In this class, students learn the correct way to brew potions. They follow specific recipes and use various magical ingredients to create the potions. The Professor of this subject is referred to as a Potions Master. At Hogwarts, for many years it was Horace Slughorn holding the position, and later Severus Snape (to his dissatisfaction).
Potions is often an intimidating and difficult class, isn’t it?. However, when your tutor is Hermione Granger, all doubt disappears!! She will teach you the most essential recipes and guarantee your pass in exams. She holds you at a high standard but is kind and patient. Who wouldn’t want to work with Hermione?
